Ian Allen

I have to report the loss of Ian Allen, First Gulf War Veteran who died on the 8th January. He had a spontaneous brain haemorrhage, just relaxing at home.

The funeral will be at Kingsdown Crematorium, Kingsdown Rd, Swindon SN25 6SG at 1:30pm on the 1st February.

Our thoughts are with his family at this time.

Dereck Nichols
1965 - 2019

Dear Members -

Another member, veteran and friend Dereck Nichols died on Monday 14/01/2019.

He served with the Coldstream Guards in the 1st Gulf and NI.

DOB: 24/10/1965 Died 14/01/2019

We have no further details at this time of Dereck’s funeral

Our best wishes and Condolences go to Kay and the rest of his family.

Dereck's funeral is Wednesday 30th January at 10.30, at St Cuthberts Church, Peterlee

Alexander Ferguson

We have just heard that Mr Alexander Ferguson, a Gulf 1 Veteran who served with the Royal Highland Fusiliers, died on the 3rd of July this year of a Brain Tumour.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Ian Harris

We have just heard that Ian Harris, who lived in Scarborough North Yorkshire, has died.

He served in the Navy and was a Petty Officer and was a veteran of the Falklands and Gulf 1 conflicts.

He died in hospital on the 6th September 2018, we have been told that the funeral has taken place.

Philip Rafferty

It is with great sadness we have just heard that Mr Philip Rafferty passed away on the 27/09/2018

DOB: 30/07/1960 Died: 27/09/2018

He lived in Tynemouth, Tyne & Wear, NE30 4EW; He was a Gulf 1 Veteran and served with RAMC

His funeral will be at St Edward's Church, 1 Coquet Ave, Whitley Bay NE26 1EE
Friday 12th October; Time 10.00am

Dear Members -

We have just heard of the death of one of the NGVFA's Gulf Veterans and it is with great sadness I inform you that Anthony Strother died on Friday 11th May.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them...
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them...
