Dear Members -

We have just heard of the death of one of the NGVFA's Gulf Veterans and it is with great sadness I inform you that Anthony Strother died on Friday 11th May.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them...
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them...

Gulf 1 veteran

We have just heard of another veteran and a member of the NGVFA who has lost his life – Ian Whitfield, who died on Monday 26th March. Ian lived in WAKEFIELD

His funeral will take place on Monday 23rd April 12.30 pm at Dewsbury Crematorium, Heckmondwike Road, West Yorkshire, WF13 3PL

Robert William Davies

Iran/Iraq War 1985-86

We have just heard of another veteran and a member of the NGVFA who has lost his life – Robert William Davies, who died in hospital yesterday 22nd February 2018. Robert lived in Littlehampton West Sussex BN17 6RD

Graham Casey

We have just heard of another veteran who has lost his life - Graham Casey, a Gulf 1 veteran, who died last Thursday 6th July. Graham lived in Bishop Auckland County Durham.

Peter John Heppinstall

Another loss, we have just heard that on the 22nd June a gulf war veteran, 52 year old ex Pioneer Cpl Peter John Heppinstall, died in Pinderfields hospital following a long illness.

We have no other details at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

Anthony Worthington

We have just heard that Anthony Worthington died last Tuesday (23rd May) morning after deteriorating over the past year or so.

Anthony was a Gulf 1 Veteran and a member of the NGVFA he lived in Leintwardine Shropshire.

His sister is dealing with all the arrangements and at this time we have no further details.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time...
